Friendship knows no bounds for Frame It! Winner
Cyclist Keith Brennan has more reason than most to buy his mate a beer down at their local after his friend’s spectacular shot of him led to him winning a superb new set of wheels in the One4all Bikes4work Frame It! Photo competition.
Kilkenny resident Keith, 28, won a new 2011 Boardman Pro mountain bike worth €1,000 after he entered the competition with a photograph taken by good friend Adrian Shanahan.
“We were out on a ride at the 9 Stones in Mount Leinster, County Carlow, it’s a favourite with dog walkers and cyclists and we took a few pictures of ourselves on our bikes,” said Keith.
“I knew the picture Adrian took of me was good so a few days later I saw the competition and entered the photo. At first I thought I had just won a small prize, and then when I realised it was the top prize of the Boardman bike, I couldn’t believe it.”
Keith says Adrian is pleased for him, but adds that he will be “looking after him down at the pub”, which should be easier for Keith than most as he is manager of the family business, Brennan’s Bottling Store, a bar and off-licence in Kilkenny.
The One4all Facebook page was inundated with brilliant creative entries for the competition which had daily prizes of a One4all Gift Card and a grand prize of a Boardman bike donated by Halfords.
